THE LAUNCH OF BLACK LION VODKA

We are delighted to announce the launch of our Black Lion vodka. The UK’s rarest vodka. Produced using Cotswold spring water and whey from pure sheep’s milk from the Black Lion Sheep that graze on the fields of our family-owned farm.

Handcrafted, free from any artificial ingredients and infused with adventure and passion, our full-bodied vodka is ready to enter the spirits market.

Based in The Cotswolds, we’re a family-owned, British business with a love of provenance and vodka. Sheaf House Farm has been in our family for nearly 50 years. With a little renovation and rejuvenation, we’re transforming the farm into an increasingly sustainable business. Whilst searching for a way to make the farm more financially viable for future generations to come, we had a lightbulb moment that ticks all our boxes. Thus the birth of our Black Lion Vodka.

In addition, our British vodka allows us to develop a unique spirit made from an otherwise waste product. Throughout British Farming, there have always been waste products from traditional farming techniques. However, our business allows us to use this byproduct and contribute to the conservation of our rare sheep.

With most vodkas being made from grains, potatoes or grapes, we saw a gap in the market. We were able to take this opportunity to put a technical distilling process alongside our rare breed of sheep. This means that our vodka has been triple distilled and filtered. From this, we created a full-bodied spirit with a crisp, clean and silky smooth finish. We’ve designed this spirit to be drunk neat, over ice and preferably at Matterhorn temperature (-1°).

Our British vodka will be launching on Tuesday 1st June 2021. This is an exciting moment for us and means that you will be able to raise your glass and join us on launch day. Our Black Lion vodka is going to be encased in a beautifully designed tube for every purchase.

Many people will be questioning ‘ Why Sheep’s milk?’, we question, why not? In other words, this otherwise waste product is totally underestimated in terms of its dietary value, taste and rarity. We’re proud to present a truly unique product made from some of the rarest ingredients. So why not taste the rarity and adventure poured into each bottle through our unique distilling process.

Above all, we’re ambitious individuals with entrepreneurial tendencies, so you can expect more from us. We plan to grow the Black Lion vodka brand and introduce some new, niche and exciting product lines. Keep your eyes peeled for future updates!
