The Parlour

Join us for The Parlour Experience, where you’ll have the unique opportunity to step into the shoes of a sheep dairy farmer and help milk our magnificent ewes first hand.

To start the experience we will kit you up in full milking PPE, including your very own milking apron, (which you get to keep). We suggest you wear your rubber wellies – don’t worry if you don’t have any, we have some you can borrow.

After a short introduction, tour of the parlour and safety briefing, we will take you down into the milking pit. Here you’ll get to see, understand and personally experience first-hand how sheep are milked in a modern milking parlour. – You’ll have the opportunity to milk the ewes yourself, with one of our dairy experts on hand to help guide you through each step.

At the end of your shift, you can put your feet up in the barn or relax in one of our paddocks with a BLACKLION and Tonic. If you’re driving or simply not drinking, we will offer you a refreshing mocktail instead.

This experience is for over 18’s only!
Each timed experience is limited to 4 guests.

Milking PPE will be provided. Please wear rubber boots, or ones will be provided.

Our Parlour Experience is available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Once a day, starting at 3.00pm for 90 minutes.

Please arrive 10 minutes before your experience start time. If you arrive after the start time, you will not be able to participate in the farm tour & tasting.

FAQs

Yes, children under the age of 18 are allowed to join the FARM TOUR & TASTING. However, they must be accompanied by an adult. Under 18’s are excluded from the ‘Tasting’ part of the tour and taken on their own mini tour to meet the other animals who live on the farm. They also get to enjoy a refreshing Sheafhouse Mocktail or Milkshake.

OUR EXPERIENCES  are not suitable for children. Guests must be over the age of 18 to participate in our PARLOUR, MIXOLOGY MASTERCLASS or FULL VALAIS EXPERIENCE. We operate a Challenge 21 policy, so we kindly ask all guests to bring ID with them.

As we are a working farm and our tours and experiences are hosted outside, all visitors will need to wear flat shoes and clothing suitable for the changing weather conditions of the English countryside

Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome on the FARM TOUR & TASTING and must be kept on a lead at all times.

Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate dogs on the PARLOUR, MIXOLOGY MASTERCLASS or FULL VALAIS EXPERIENCE

No, all our tours and experiences must be pre-booked online in advance.

The farm is located at Sheafhouse Farm, Draycott Road, Blockley, Glos, GL56 9DY, 10mins (4.2mi) from Moreton-in-Marsh.

Trains frequently run from London Paddington to Moreton-in-Marsh with a journey time of approximately 1h 20m.

Yes, we have a small shop at the farm where we sell our BLACKLION vodka and a selection of other produce and gifts.

We don’t have a bar on the farm, but we do have a café where we offer coffee, tea, soft drinks, and light refreshments.
